Hello, I am having a bit of trouble understanding how to conjugate Punjabi verbs in the past indefinite using different pronouns. What I mean by different pronouns is illustrated below.

I did
You did
He/She did
We did
They did

Would someone just be willing to give me an example of any verb in the Past Indefinite using all pronouns?

“ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਓ ਜੀ” is perceived by the listener to mean, “excuse me” or “pardon me” or “come again?”.

I need something to say I am sorry for something I did wrong. Example, if you are in Langar and you do something wrong and you have made a Khalsa very angry and he is telling you that you did a wrong thing and you want to say “I am sorry, ji”. Also, I would like to say, “It won’t happen again” after I say “I am sorry”.

I think ਜਾਣ is used as an auxiliary denoting the completion of an action.
ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ = verb read (past participle)
ਜਾਣ = auxiliary verb (is)
ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਣ = is read (past tense)
ਵਾਲਾ = pronoun (the one)

Punjabi grammar question about conditional present tense?

I have a question regarding conditional present tense verbs in Punjabi. Conditional present tense is known as ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਸ਼ਰਤੀ ਕਾਲ “va-ra-ta-maan sha-ra-tii kaal” in Punjabi language.

Here is an example sentence written in conditional present tense.
ਜੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਕਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
(Je a-dhi-aa-pak ka-re, taan vi-di-aa-ra-thi skuul jaan-daa hai.)
(If the teacher asks, then the student goes to school.)

The first clause (or part) of this sentence is, “If the teacher asks,”. The verb “ask” (to tell, to order, etc.) is the verb that must be in “conditional present tense”.

In my example sentence, the verb is ਕਹੇ “ka-re” (spelled kakaa, raaraa, laanv). I believe this is the “conditional present tense form” of ਕਹਿਣਾ “ka-hi-naa” (root verb ਕਹਿ “ka-hi”), which is a verb meaing to say, tell, to order, etc..

However, I could be wrong about this. It may be a derivative of a different verb. Maybe the verb ਕਿਹਾ “ki-haa”, which means “told, said, ordered”.

Therefore my question is as follows. What are the rules for forming the “conditional present verb”?

So, for example, you could use the word for eat or ਖਾਣਾ “khaa-naa” with a root verb of ਖਾ “khaa”.

How would you change ਖਾ “khaa” (eat) to make it a verb in conditional present tense form?

There should be some grammar rules dictating how verbs are conjugated into conditional present tense form.

Is “ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਓ” and inflected form of “ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰਨਾ”?

“ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰਨਾ” is listed in my ਪੰਜਾਬੀ kosh as a verb meaning to pardon, to excuse, etc..

I am not able to find “ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਓ”. So, is “ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਓ” an inflected form of “ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰਨਾ”?

If it is, how is student of ਪੰਜਾਬੀ supposed to know this information? Where can I find this information?
