beta tum nakhre dikhana banda karo aur chup chap khana khao.

dont show me your tantrums, eat your meal.

university mein har department ke apne nakhre hai.unse kaam kar vana aasan nahi hai.

In university each department has their own tantrums.its not easy to make them work.

At some places ‘tantrums’ might be a correct word for ‘नखरे’, but I don’t think it’s correct at all of them.
You can use “showing off”, “creating fuss”, “acting snobbish” etc. at some.

It’s not necessary that every Hindi word would have a single word English translation. First one seems ok, you can write the second one as:

In the university every department has its own way of “showing off its superiority” (/ “putting on airs” / “showing off its importance/value”). It’s not easy to get them to work.
