A drug is any chemical substance that causes a change in an organism's physiology or psychology when consumed. Drugs are typically distinguished from food and substances that provide nutritional support. Consumption of drugs can be via inhalation, injection, smoking, ingestion, absorption via a patch on the skin, suppository, or dissolution under the tongue.

भेषज (pharmaceutical) या ड्रग (drug) ऐसा कोई रसायन होता है जिसे ग्रहण करने से किसी जीव की शरीरक्रिया या मनोदशा में परिवर्तन होता है। साधारण रूप से भेषजों और पोषण करने वाले खाद्यपदार्थों को भिन्न समझा जाता है। भेषजों को खाकर, पीकर, चूसकर, इंजेक्शन द्वारा, त्वचा पर लगाकर और अन्य रूपों से ग्रहण करा जा सकता है। चिकित्सा में प्रयोग होने वाले भेषजों को औषधि (medicine) कहा जाता है।
