Glucose is a sugar with the molecular formula C₆H₁₂O₆. Glucose is overall the most abundant monosaccharide, a subcategory of carbohydrates. Glucose is mainly made by plants and most algae during photosynthesis from water and carbon dioxide, using energy from sunlight, where it is used to make cellulose in cell walls, the most abundant carbohydrate in the world.

ग्लूकोज़ (Glucose) या द्राक्ष शर्करा (द्राक्षधु) सबसे सरल कार्बोहाइड्रेट है। यह जल में घुलनशील होता है तथा इसका रासायनिक सूत्र C₆H₁₂O₆ है। यह स्वाद में मीठा होता है तथा सजीवों की कोशिकाओं के लिए ऊर्जा का सर्व प्रमुख स्रोत है। यह पौधों के फलों जैसे काजू, अंगूर व अन्य फलों में, जड़ों जैसे चुकुन्दर की जड़ों में, तनों में जैसे ईख के रूप में सामान्य रूप से संग्रहित भोज्य पदार्थों के रूप में पायी जाती है।
