A raincoat is a waterproof or water-resistant garment worn on the upper body to shield the wearer from rain. The term rain jacket is sometimes used to refer to raincoats with long sleeves that are waist-length. A rain jacket may be combined with a pair of rain pants to make a rainsuit. Rain clothing may also be in one piece, like a boilersuit. Raincoats, like rain ponchos, offer the wearer hands-free protection from the rain and elements; unlike the umbrella.

बरसाती या रेनकोट एक विशेष प्रकार का कपड़ा है जिसका उद्देश्य बरसात के मौसम में लोगों को आसमान से गिरने वाले पानी के छींटों से बचाना है। यह आम तौर पर प्लास्टिक या चमड़े से बना होता है और आम तौर पर रोज़मर्रा के कपड़ों के ऊपर पहना जाता है। कभी-कभी यह केवल शरीर के ऊपरी हिस्सों, यानी सिर और शर्ट आदि पर छिपे हिस्सों को बचाने की कोशिश करता है, और कभी-कभी यह शरीर के निचले हिस्सों, यानी पैरों और जांघों को ढक लेता है। इस ड्रेस का प्रयोग खास तौर पर बारिश के मौसम में किया जाता है।
