A tipi or tepee is a conical lodge tent that is distinguished from other conical tents by the smoke flaps at the top of the structure, and historically made of animal hides or pelts or, in more recent generations, of canvas stretched on a framework of wooden poles. The loanword came into English usage from the Dakota language and Lakota language.

टीपी उत्तर अमेरिका के ग्रेट प्लेन व प्रेरी क्षेत्रों में बसने वाले अमेरिकी आदिवासी समूहों द्वारा आवास के लिए प्रयोग होने वाले शंकु-आकार के पारम्परिक तम्बुओं को कहते हैं। इनका ढांचा १५ से २० फ़ुट लम्बे खम्बों से बना होता है जिसके इर्द-गिर्द अमेरिकी बायसन की खाल लपेटी जाती है। तम्बू के ऊपर खाल का एक भाग लटका हुआ होता है जो बाहर से वर्षा, हिम और पवन को भीतर आने से तो रोकता है लेकिन अंदर जल रही आग के धुँए को तम्बू से निकास का मार्ग प्रदान करता है।
