जिन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को और आख़िरत के मिलन को झूठा जाना उनका तो सारा किया धरा उनकी जान को लागू हुआ जो कुछ वे करते रहे क्या उसके सिवा वे किसी और चीज़ का बदला पाएँगे
They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but Fire and vain are the deeds they did therein And of no effect is that which they used to do
यही वे लोग है जिनके लिए आख़िरत में आग के सिवा और कुछ भी नहीं उन्होंने जो कुछ बनाया वह सब वहाँ उनकी जान को लागू हुआ और उनका सारा किया धरा मिथ्या होकर रहा

मगर हाँ ये वह लोग हैं जिनके लिए आख़िरत में जहन्नुम की आग के सिवा कुछ नहीं और जो कुछ दुनिया में उन लोगों ने किया धरा था सब अकारत बर्बाद हो गया और जो कुछ ये लोग करते थे सब मिटियामेट हो गया
Did you think that We created you in vain and that to Us you will not be returned
तो क्या तुमने यह समझा था कि हमने तुम्हें व्यर्थ पैदा किया है और यह कि तुम्हें हमारी और लौटना नहीं है

तो क्या तुम ये ख्याल करते हो कि हमने तुमको यूँ ही बेकार पैदा किया और ये कि तुम हमारे हुज़ूर में लौटा कर न लाए जाओगे
who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous
और जो बेहूदा बातों से मुँह फेरे रहते हैं
And the servants of the Merciful are those who do not bear witness to falsehood and who if they have ever to pass by what is vain pass by like dignified people
जो किसी झूठ और असत्य में सम्मिलित नहीं होते और जब किसी व्यर्थ के कामों के पास से गुज़रते है तो श्रेष्ठतापूर्वक गुज़र जाते है
And the servants of the Merciful are those who do not bear witness to falsehood and who if they have ever to pass by what is vain pass by like dignified people
और वह लोग जो फरेब के पास ही नही खड़े होते और वह लोग जब किसी बेहूदा काम के पास से गुज़रते हैं तो बुर्ज़ुगाना अन्दाज़ से गुज़र जाते हैं
And who shun vain conversation
और जो व्यर्थ बातों से पहलू बचाते है
