In organic chemistry, an oxime is an organic compound belonging to the imines, with the general formula RR’C=N−OH, where R is an organic side-chain and R' may be hydrogen, forming an aldoxime, or another organic group, forming a ketoxime. O-substituted oximes form a closely related family of compounds. Amidoximes are oximes of amides with general structure R¹C(=NOH)NR²R³.

ऐलडिहाइडों तथा कीटोनों पर हाइड्रॉक्सिल-ऐमिन की क्रिया से जो यौगिक प्राप्त होते हैं उन्हें आक्सिम (Oximes) कहते हैं। ऐलडिहाडो से बने यौगिकों को ऐलडॉक्सिम तथा कीटोनों से बने यौगिक कीटॉक्सिम कहलाते हैं। इनके सूत्र सामने के चित्र में दर्शाए गये हैं।
