                વલણ એટલે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ અથવા ઘટના પ્રત્યે મૂલ્યાત્મક લાગણીઓ અનુભવવાની તેમજ તે મુજબ વર્તવાની મનોસ્થિતિ. કોઈપણ પદાર્થ અથવા વ્યક્તિની બાબતમાઅં વ્યક્તિના મનમાં વિચાર કરવાનો, લાગણી અનુભવવાનો અને ક્રિયા કરવાનો જે ઝોક હોય છે તેને વલણ કહે છે. વલણમાં વ્યક્તિની લાગણી મોટો ભાગ ભજવતી હોય છે. વલણો હંમેશા કોઈ વ્યક્તિ, જૂથ, અથવા પદાર્થ પ્રત્યે હોય છે. વલણ જન્મજાત નથી હોતા, પરંતુ વ્યક્તિ તે પોતાના આસપાસના વાતાવરણમાંથી શીખે છે. કેટલાક વલણો પ્રમાણમાં સ્થિર હોય છે; પણ તેને બદલી શકાતા હોય છે.
