பாகுபாடு (Discrimination) என்பது ஒரு தனிநபரை ஓர் குறிப்பிட்டக் குழு அல்லது வகைப்பாட்டில் அங்கமாக உள்ளதை முன்னிட்டு முற்சார்புடன் நடத்துவதாகும். இது அந்தக் குழுக்களைத் தனிப்படுத்துவதும் தடை செய்வதுமான செயல்களை உள்ளடக்கும். ஒரு குழுவினை மட்டும் மற்ற குழுவினருக்குக் கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்புகளிலிருந்து தள்ளி வைப்பதும் கட்டுப்படுத்துவதும் ஆகும்.
