Description
नैयायिकों के अनुसार कर्मों द्वारा उत्पन्न फल दो प्रकार का होता है। अच्छे कार्यों के करने से एक प्रकार की शोभन योग्यता उत्पन्न होती है जिसे पुण्य कहते हैं। बुरे कामों के करने से एक प्रकार की अशोभन योग्यता उत्पन्न होती है जिसे पाप कहते हैं। पुण्य और पाप को ही अदृष्ट कहते हैं, क्योंकि यह इंद्रियों के द्वारा देखा नहीं जा सकता। इसी अदृष्ट के माध्यम से कर्मफल का उदय होता है। जड़ अदृष्ट का प्रेरक होने से न्यायालय में ईश्वर की सिद्धि माना जाता है।
