Sandhi is any of a wide variety of sound changes that occur at morpheme or word boundaries. Examples include fusion of sounds across word boundaries and the alteration of one sound depending on nearby sounds or the grammatical function of the adjacent words. Sandhi belongs to morphophonology.

संधी या शब्दाचा अर्थ 'संयोजन' किंवा एकीकरण असा होतो. दोन लगतच्या अक्षरांच्या परस्पर संयोगामुळे जो विकार (बदल) होतो त्याला संधी म्हणतात. संस्कृत, हिंदी आणि इतर भाषांमध्ये परस्पर स्वर किंवा अक्षरांच्या संयोगामुळे निर्माण होणाऱ्या विकाराला संधी म्हणतात. जसे - साम + तोष = समाधान, देव + इंद्र = देवेंद्र, भानु + उदय = भानुदय.
