कोई भी उपकरण जिसका प्रयोग अपने शत्रु को चोट पहुँचाने, वश में करने या हत्या करने के लिये किया जाता है, शस्त्र या आयुध (weapon) कहलाता है। शस्त्र का प्रयोग आक्रमण करने, बचाव करने अथवा डराने-धमकाने के लिये किया जा सकता है। शस्त्र एक तरफ लाठी जितना सरल हो सकता है तो दूसरी तरफ बैलिस्टिक प्रक्षेपास्त्र जितना जटिल भी।
