- लकड़ी, धातु मिट्टी आदि का खंड जिसपर किसी प्रकार की आकृति, बेलबूटे या अक्षर आदि इस प्रकार खुदे हों कि उसे किसी दूसरी वस्तु पर रखकर दबाने से या दूसरी वस्तु की उसपर रखकर दबाने से उस दूसरी वस्तु पर वे आकृतियाँ बेलबूटे या अक्षर उभर आवें अथवा बन जाँय । साँचा ।
- लकड़ी का टुकड़ा जिसपर उभरे हुए बेलबूटे बने रहते हैं ओर जिसपर रंग, स्याही आदि पोतकर उन बेलबूटों को कपड़े आदि पर छापते हैं । छापा ।

ठप्पा, 'रूपदा' या डाई (die) निर्माण-उद्योगों में प्रयुक्त एक विशेष औजार है जो पदार्थों को काटने या कोई विशेष आकार देने के काम आता है। प्रायः यह एक प्रेस की सहायता से काम करता है। ठप्पे से साधारण पेपर-क्लिप से लेकर उन्नत प्रौद्योगिकी में काम आने वाली जटिल चीजें तक बनायी जातीं हैं।
