बंदूक NOUN
- नली के रुप का एक प्रसिद्ध अस्त्र जो धातु का बना होता है । एक आग्नेय अस्त्र । विशेष—इसमें लकड़ी के कुदे में लोहे की एक लबी नली लगी रहती है । इसके पीछे की ओर थोड़ा सा स्थान बना होता है जिसमें गोली रखकर बारुद या इसी प्रकार के किसी औऱ विस्फोटक पदार्थ की सहायता से चलाई जाती है । इसमें से गोली निकलती है जो अपने निशाने पर जोर से जा लगती है । इसका उपयोग मनुष्यों को ओर दुसरे जीवों को मार डालने अथवा घायल करने के लिये होता है । आजकल साधारणतः सैनिकों को युद्ध में लड़ने के लिये यही दी जाती हैं । यह कई प्रकार की होती है । जैसे, कड़ाबीन, राइफल, गन, मशीनगन, (यंत्रचालित), स्वचालित, आटोमेटिक गन, स्टेनगन, आदि ।

बंदूक साधारणतया ऐसे किसी भी यंत्र को कहते हैं जिससे किसी प्रक्षेप को कहीं प्रक्षेपित किया जाता है। इसे प्रायः आग्नेयास्त्र से अर्थभ्रमित किया जाता है जिसका अर्थ कोई भी विस्फोटक या घातक अस्त्र होता है।
