ഏകപത്രസസ്യങ്ങളെ പൊതുവെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പേരാണ് പുല്ല്. അറുനൂറോളം വർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിലായി പതിനായിരത്തോളം ഇനങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നതും വൈവിദ്ധ്യവും വിചിത്രവുമായ ഒരു സസ്യ വിഭാഗമാണ് പുല്ല്. ലോകത്ത് ഇതുവരെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളവയിൽ 20 ശതമാനം സസ്യങ്ങൾ ഈ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.തെക്കൻ കേരളത്തിൽ പോച്ച എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
