चिल्ला एक सूफी आध्यात्मिक क्रिया है जिसमें चालीस दिन तक एकान्त में रहकर तपस्या की जाती है। यह मुख्यतः भारतीय और फारसी परम्परा में देखने को मिलती है। चिल्ला करने वाला तपस्वी एक वृत्त के अन्दर बैठे रहता है और बिना भोजन के ४० दिन तक ध्यान लगाता है जिसे अरबइन भी कहते हैं। चिल्ला एकान्त स्थान पर किया जाता है जिसे 'चिल्ला-खाना' कहते हैं। चिल्ला किसी विशिष्ट अवसर पर या किसी विशेष उद्देश्य की सिद्धि के लिए किया जाता है जिसमें बहुत सी बातों का बचाव और बहुत–से नियमों का पालन करना पड़ता है।

Chilla, also known as Chilla-nashini, is a spiritual practice of penance and solitude in Sufism known mostly in Indian and Persian traditions. In this ritual a mendicant or ascetic attempts to remain seated in a circle practicing meditation techniques without food for 40 days and nights in imitation of the Arba'een.
