बाँह NOUN

1. कंधे से निकलकर दंड के रूप में गया । हुआ अंग जिसके छोर पर हथेली या पंजा लगा होता है । भुजा । हाथ । बाहु ।
2. बल । शक्ति । भुजबल ।
3. सहायक । मददगार ।
4. भरोसा । आसरा । सहारा । शरण ।
5. एक प्रकार की कसरत जो दो आदमी मिलकर करते हैं । विशेष—इसमें बारी बारी से हर एक आदमी अपनी बाँह दूसरे के कंधे पर रखता है और उसे अपनी बाँह के जोर से वहाँ से हटाता है । इससे बाहों पर जोर पड़ता है और उसमें बल आता है ।
6. कुरते, कमीज, अंगे, कोट आदि में लगा हुआ वह मोहरीदार टुकड़ा जिसमें बाँह डाली जाती है । आस्तीन । जैसे,—इस कुरते की बाँह छोटी हो गई है ।

बाँह या भुजा किसी प्राणी के शरीर के ऐसे उपांग को कहते हैं जिसके अंत पर आमतौर पर हाथ लगा होता है। नरवानर गण के शरीरों में ऐसे ऊपरी उपांग को बाँह कहते हैं और निचले उपांग को टांग। बाँह को शरीर के धड़ से जोड़ने वाला भाग कंधा कहलाता है और बाँह के बीच का जोड़ कोहनी।
