संघ हा बुद्धांच्या शिष्यांचा आध्यात्मिक समाज होय पूर्वी होऊन गेलेला आणि सध्या अस्तित्वात असलेला, भिक्खू-भिक्खूणी आणि उपासक-उपासिकांचा बनवलेला, प्रबुद्ध आणि अप्रबुद्धांचा समावेश असलेला. संघाला अनुसरणे म्हणजे संघातील सदस्यांच्या धार्मिक मार्गावर पुढे असणाऱ्यांच्या प्रभावास ग्रहण करणे, त्यांच्यै उदाहरणाने उत्साहित होणे आणि त्यांच्या सल्ल्यानुसार आचरणास सिद्ध असणे होय.
