ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਜਾਂ ਗਿਆਨ, ਹੁਨਰ, ਕਦਰਾਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ, ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਸਿਖਲਾਈ, ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਣਾ, ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਤ ਖੋਜ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਕਸਰ ਸਿਖਿਅਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਸਿਖਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਅਤ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਗੈਰ-ਰਸਮੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਸੋਚਣ, ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਢੰਗ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਆਵੇ,ਉਸ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ (ਪੈਡਾਗੋਜੀ) ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
