- लकड़ी की चौड़ी पटरी जो पहिए की गड़ारी और पुट्ठी के बीच जड़ी रहती है । एक पहिए में ऐसी दो पटरियाँ होती हैं, बाकी और जो पतली पतली चार पटरियाँ जड़ी जाती हैं, उन्हें गज कहते हैं ।
- लकी की या पत्थर की पटरी जिसे दीवार पर रखकर उसके ऊपर घोड़िया या टोटा बैठातै है । यह इसलिये रखा जाता है कि घोड़िया आदि एक सीध में रहें ऊपर नीचे हों । दीवारदासा । दासा ।
- एक लोहे की दाँतीदार पटरी जिससे रेत कर लकड़ी चीरी जाती है । इसके दोनों ओर लकड़ी के दस्ते लगे रहते हैं ।
- चमड़ा सीने का टेकुआ या सूजा । सुतारी ।
Description
आरा भारत प्रांत के बिहार राज्य का एक प्रमुख शहर है। यह भोजपुर जिले का मुख्यालय है। राजधानी पटना से इसकी दूरी महज ५५ किलोमीटर है। देश के दूसरे भागों से ये सड़क और रेलमार्ग से जुड़ा हुआ है। यह नगर वाराणसी से १३६ मील पूर्व-उत्तर-पूर्व, पटना से ३७ मील पश्चिम, गंगा नदी से १४ मील दक्षिण और सोन नदी से आठ मील पश्चिम में स्थित है। यह पूर्वी रेलवे की प्रधान शाखा तथा आरा-सासाराम रेलवे लाइन का जंक्शन है। डिहरी से निकलने वाली सोन की पूर्वी नहर की प्रमुख 'आरा नहर' शाखा भी यहाँ से होकर जाती है। आरा को १८६५ में नगरपालिका बनाया गया था।
Arrah is a city and a municipal corporation in Bhojpur district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is the headquarters of Bhojpur district, located near the confluence of the Ganges and Sone rivers, some 24 mi (39 km) from Danapur and 36 mi (58 km) from Patna.
