खगोलशास्त्र में, दिक्पात भूमध्यीय निर्देशांक प्रणाली के दो निर्देशांकों में से एक होता है। दूसरा निर्देशांक दायां आरोहण या घंटा कोण होता है। झुकाव की तुलना अक्षांश से की जा सकती है। इसका मापन डिग्री उत्तर या दक्षिण में किया जाता है। खगोलीय भूमध्य रेखा के उत्तर के बिन्दु घनात्मक झुकाव व उसके दक्षिण वाले बिन्दु ऋणात्मक झुकाव पर होते हैं।
- खगोलीय भूमध्य रेखा पर बिन्दु का झुकाव 0° होता है।
- खगोलीय उत्तरी ध्रुव के बिन्दु का झुकाव +९०° एवं
- खगोलीय दक्षिणी ध्रुव के बिन्दु का झुकाव -९०° होता है।

The declination angle is measured north (positive) or south (negative) of the celestial equator, along the hour circle passing through the point in question.
