संभोग जीवशास्त्रीयदृष्ट्या अशी क्रिया आहे की ज्यात नराचे जननेंद्रिय मादीच्या जननमार्गात प्रवेश करते. मराठी भाषेत 'संभोग' ह्या शब्दाची ही प्रचलित व सर्वमान्य व्याख्या आहे. गेल्या काही दशकांत समलैंगिकता हा विषय काही प्रमाणात खुलेपणाने बोलला जात असल्यामुळे, 'समलिंगी संभोग' अथवा 'समलिंगी समागम' हा शब्दप्रयोग काही प्रमाणात वापरला जाऊ लागला आहे.

Sexual intercourse is a sexual activity involving the insertion and thrusting of the male penis inside the female vagina for sexual pleasure, reproduction, or both. Other forms of penetrative sexual intercourse include anal sex, oral sex, fingering and penetration by use of a dildo, and vibrators. These activities involve physical intimacy between two or more people and are usually used among humans solely for physical or emotional pleasure. They can contribute to human bonding.
