ਦਰਾਮਦ ਉਹ ਮਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਮਲਦਾਰੀ ਭਾਵ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ। ਮੋਟੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ "ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਮੰਗਾਇਆ ਮਾਲ ਅਸਬਾਬ"। ਮੰਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਦਰਾਮਦ ਘੱਲਣ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦਰਾਮਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਾਮਦੀ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਵਪਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਮਾਲੀ ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

An importer is the receiving country in an export from the sending country. Importation and exportation are the defining financial transactions of international trade. The seller of such goods and services is called an exporter, while the foreign buyer is known as an importer.
