A bindi is a coloured dot or, in modern times, a sticker worn on the center of the forehead, originally by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists from the Indian subcontinent. It is also worn by some non-Hindu communities such as Bengali Muslims and Malayali Christians as a cultural representation or an ornamental decoration.
