కార్యాలయం, (ఆఫీసు) అనేది సాధారణంగా ఏదేని ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రవేటు సంస్థ తన కార్యకలాపాలు నిర్వహించే నిమిత్తం ఏర్పరచుకున్న స్థలం, భవనం, గది లేదా ఇతర ప్రాంతాన్ని కార్యాలయం అని అంటారు.వీటిలో ఒక గది నుండి పెద్ద పెద్ద భవనముల వరకు ఒకే సంస్థ కార్యాలయం క్రింద ఉపయోగిస్తుంటారు.ఒక కార్యాలయంలో ఒకరు లేదా ఎక్కువ మంది ఉద్యోగులు, అధికారులు (Officers), పనివారు (Workers) ఉంటారు. ఒక సంస్థకు చెందిన కార్యాలయాలు ఒక ఊరిలోని వివిధ ప్రదేశాలలో లేదా వేర్వేరు ఊరుల్లో ఉండవచ్చును. ఎక్కువగా కార్యాలయాలు గల సంస్థలకు అందులోని ఒకదాన్ని ప్రధాన కార్యాలయం గా వ్యవహరిస్తారు.ఇక్కడ సంస్థకు సంబందించిన ఉద్యోగులు, అధికారులు,ఇతర వర్కర్స్ సంస్థ సమకూర్చిన వస్తువులు ఉపయోగించి, వారికి అప్పగించిన భాధ్యతలు ప్రకారం, లక్ష్యాల సాధించటానికి, ఉత్పత్తిని ఇవ్వడానికి, లేదా తీసుకోవటానికి పరిపాలనా పనులను నిర్వహిస్తారు. An office is a space where the employees of an organization perform administrative work in order to support and realize the various goals of the organization. The word "office" may also denote a position within an organization with specific duties attached to it ; the latter is an earlier usage, as "office" originally referred to the location of one's duty. In its adjective form, the term "office" may refer to business-related tasks. In law, a company or organization has offices in any place where it has an official presence, even if that presence consists of a storage silo, for example, instead of a more traditional establishment with a desk and chair. An office is also an architectural and design phenomenon, including small offices, such as a bench in the corner of a small business or a room in someone's home, entire floors of buildings, and massive buildings dedicated entirely to one company. In modern terms, an office is usually the location where white-collar workers carry out their functions.
