And do not extend your glance towards what We have given some classes of them to enjoy — the splendor of the life of this world — that We may test them thereby. Your Lord's provision is better, and more lasting.
और (ऐ रसूल) जो उनमें से कुछ लोगों को दुनिया की इस ज़रा सी ज़िन्दगी की रौनक़ से निहाल कर दिया है ताकि हम उनको उसमें आज़माएँ तुम अपनी नज़रें उधर न बढ़ाओ और (इससे) तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की रोज़ी (सवाब) कहीं बेहतर और ज्यादा पाएदार है

और उसकी ओर आँख उठाकर न देखो, जो कुछ हमने उनमें से विभिन्न लोगों को उपभोग के लिए दे रखा है, ताकि हम उसके द्वारा उन्हें आज़माएँ। वह तो बस सांसारिक जीवन की शोभा है। तुम्हारे रब की रोज़ी उत्तम भी है और स्थायी भी
And if you have to hold off from [ assisting ] them [ for now ], seeking your Lord's mercy which you expect [ in the future ], speak to them gentle words.
और तुमको अपने परवरदिगार के फज़ल व करम के इन्तज़ार में जिसकी तुम को उम्मीद हो (मजबूरन) उन (ग़रीबों) से मुँह मोड़ना पड़े तो नरमी से उनको समझा दो

और जब लोगों के पास हिदायत आ चुकी तो (फिर) उनको ईमान लाने और अपने परवरदिगार से मग़फिरत की दुआ माँगने से (उसके सिवा और कौन) अम्र मायने है कि अगलों की सी रीत रस्म उनको भी पेश आई या हमारा अज़ाब उनके सामने से (मौजूद) हो
