मनोध्वनिकी तथा ध्वनिकी में अनुरणन (reverberation) का अर्थ है ध्वनि उत्पन्न होने के बाद उसका बहुत देर तक बने रहना। अनुरणन तब उत्पन्न होता है जब ध्वनि अनेकानेक बार परावर्तित होने के कारण जुड़ती चली जाती है। अनुरणन के बाद ध्वनि विभिन्न वस्तुओं से अवशोषित होकर क्रमशः क्षीण हो जाती है। अनुरणन की परिघटना को उस समय आसानी से अनुभव किया जाता है जब ध्वनि उत्पन्न करने वाला स्रोत बन्द हो जाने के बाद भी ध्वनि बहुत देर तक बनी रहे अर्थात् तुरन्त समाप्त होने के बजाय धीरे-धीरे क्षीण होते हुए भी बहुत देर तक बनी रहती है।

Reverberation, in acoustics, is a persistence of sound after it is produced. Reverberation is created when a sound or signal is reflected. This causes numerous reflections to build up and then decay as the sound is absorbed by the surfaces of objects in the space – which could include furniture, people, and air. This is most noticeable when the sound source stops but the reflections continue, their amplitude decreasing, until zero is reached.
