कब्ज़ा, कुलाबा, चूल या द्वारसन्धि एक ऐसे बेयरिंग को कहते हैं जो दो ठोस वस्तुओं से जुड़ा हो और एक को दूसरे के सम्बन्ध में घूमने दे। उदाहरण के लिए अक्सर किसी दरवाज़े को कब्ज़े के साथ ही दीवार से जोड़ा जाता है और वह उस कब्ज़े पर घुमाकर ही खोला और बंद किया जाता है। जीवविज्ञान में भी कब्ज़े देखे जाते हैं, मसलन घुटना और शरीर के कई अन्य जोड़ कब्ज़ों का काम करते हैं। ध्यान दें कि हालांकि हर क़ब्ज़े को आजकल कुलाबा कहा जाता है, यह वास्तव में एक फन्दा हुआ करता था जिसमें दरवाज़े के एक तरफ़ लगा किल्ला डाला जाता था, जिसपर दरवाज़ा घूम सकता था।

A hinge is a mechanical bearing that connects two solid objects, typically allowing only a limited angle of rotation between them. Two objects connected by an ideal hinge rotate relative to each other about a fixed axis of rotation, with all other translations or rotations prevented; thus a hinge has one degree of freedom.
