अगर ख़ुदा चाहे तो हवा को ठहरा दे तो जहाज़ भी समन्दर की सतह पर खड़े के खड़े रह जाएँ बेशक तमाम सब्र और शुक्र करने वालों के वास्ते इन बातों में ख़ुदा की क़ुदरत की बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं

मेरे सिवा किसी को अपना कारसाज़ न बनाना बेशक नूह बड़ा शुक्र गुज़ार बन्दा था
We made it a guide for the offspring of those whom We carried in the Ark with Noah a thankful servant of God
और उसको रास्ता भी दिखा दिया (अब वह) ख्वाह शुक्र गुज़ार हो ख्वाह नाशुक्रा
Verily We! We shewed him the way; then he becometh either thankful or ingrate.

तो वह लोग ख़ुद कहने लगे परवरदिगार क़रीब के सफर में लुत्फ नहीं तो हमारे सफ़रों में दूरी पैदा कर दे और उन लोगों ने खुद अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म किया तो हमने भी उनको तबाह करके उनके अफसाने बना दिए और उनकी धज्जियाँ उड़ा के उनको तितिर बितिर कर दिया बेशक उनमें हर सब्र व शुक्र करने वालोंके वास्ते बड़ी इबरते हैं
