கணக்கியல் மற்றும் வணிகத்தில் சொத்து எனப்படுவது ஒரு தனிநபரால் அல்லது சேர்ந்தியங்கும் ஒரு குழுவினால் வருமானத்தை ஈட்டிதரும் விதமாக வைத்திருக்கும் அனைத்து வளங்களும் சொத்து (Asset) எனப்படும். சுருக்கமாக சொல்லின் காசும், காசாக மாறக்கூடிய வளங்களும் சொத்து எனலாம்.
