मगर (हॉ) जिन लोगों ने इससे पहले कि तुम इनपर क़ाबू पाओ तौबा कर लो तो उनका गुनाह बख्श दिया जाएगा क्योंकि समझ लो कि ख़ुदा बेशक बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

किन्तु जो लोग, इससे पहले कि तुम्हें उनपर अधिकार प्राप्त हो, पलट आएँ (अर्थात तौबा कर लें) तो ऐसी दशा में तुम्हें मालूम होना चाहिए कि अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, दयावान है

और तुम लोगों में से जिनसे बदकारी सरज़द हुई हो उनको मारो पीटो फिर अगर वह दोनों (अपनी हरकत से) तौबा करें और इस्लाह कर लें तो उनको छोड़ दो बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा तौबा कुबूल करने वाला मेहरबान है
