और कहने लगे, ' एक अकेला आदमी, जो हम ही में से है, क्या हम उसके पीछे चलेंगे? तब तो वास्तव में हम गुमराही और दीवानापन में पड़ गए !
They said, 'Are we to follow one of us, a human being? We would then go astray, and end up in Hell.

They will be answered, 'Your suffering is only because you disbelieved when One God was mentioned. When other things were considered equal to Him, you believed in them. Judgment belongs to God, the Most High, the Most Great.
यह लोगों को सन्देश पहुँचा देना है (ताकि वे इसे ध्यानपूर्वक सुनें) और ताकि उन्हें इसके द्वारा सावधान कर दिया जाए और ताकि वे जान लें कि वही अकेला पूज्य है और ताकि वे सचेत हो जाएँ, तो बुद्धि और समझ रखते है
This [ Qur' an ] is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded.
वह (बुरा परिणाम) तो इसलिए सामने आएगा कि जब अकेला अल्लाह को पुकारा जाता है तो तुम इनकार करते हो। किन्तु यदि उसके साथ साझी ठहराया जाए तो तुम मान लेते हो। तो अब फ़ैसला तो अल्लाह ही के हाथ में है, जो सर्वोच्च बड़ा महान है। -
This has come upon you because when God alone was invoked you disbelieved; but when partners were associated with Him, you believed. But judgement belongs to God, the all-high and supreme.
यह लोगों को सन्देश पहुँचा देना है (ताकि वे इसे ध्यानपूर्वक सुनें) और ताकि उन्हें इसके द्वारा सावधान कर दिया जाए और ताकि वे जान लें कि वही अकेला पूज्य है और ताकि वे सचेत हो जाएँ, तो बुद्धि और समझ रखते है
This is a Message to be delivered to mankind that they may be warned by it, and that they may know that He is One God, and that all possessed of minds may remember.
