इस अवसर पर श्री खरे ने कहा कि हाल के वर्षों में तमिलनाडु को बार-बार सूखे और अनियमित मानसून का सामना करना पड़ा है, जिस वजह से यहां पर जल की भारी किल्लत होने के साथ-साथ शहरों में बाढ़ की भी नौबत आ गई।
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khare said that the State has faced recurring droughts and erratic monsoons in the recent past resulting in severe water scarcity and urban flooding.
ण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने के बाद श्री खरे ने कहा कि इस ण से राज्य के सभी राजमार्गों में सुधार के बिहार सरकार के प्रयासों को पूरा करने में मदद मिलेगी, जिससे बेहतर सम्पर्क के लिए सुधार और सड़क सुरक्षा के साथ कम से कम दो लेन वाली सड़कों के मानक को पूरा किया जा सकेगा।
Khare said that this loan will complement the efforts of the Government of Bihar to upgrade all State Highways to meet the minimum two-lane standard with better surfaces and improved road safety leading to improved connectivity. Mr.
श्री खरे ने कहा कि इसके तहत सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी पर आधारित स्मार्ट जल प्रबंधन प्रणाली अपनाई जाएगी और जल संरक्षण एवं मांग प्रबंधन से जुड़े समुदाय जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे।
It will also adopt information technology based smart water management system and undertake community awareness programs on water conservation and demand management, said Mr. Khare.

After signing the agreement, Mr Khare said that the Project is expected to improve the tourism infrastructure in Tamil Nadu and also help the State in preserving the natural and cultural heritage.
