उन्होंने बताया कि जैविक खेती पर व्यापक नीति के अंतर्गत पहली बार सरकार ने वर्ष 2014-15 में देश में जैविक खेती को बढ़ावा देने हेतु परम्परागत कृषि विकास योजना (पीकेवीवाई) शुरू की है।
Shri Singh further added that for the first time in 2014-15, the government launched a comprehensive scheme to promote organic farming in the country.

कृषि मंत्री ने बताया कि खेती के चहुमुखी विकास हेतु प्रयोगशाला से खेत तक कार्यक्रम में तेजी लाने हेतु माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी ने चार नई परियोजनाओं का शुभारम्भ किया है।

इस मौके पर, डॉ जितेंद्र सिंह ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि यह परियोजना किसानों के लिए औषधीय पौधों की खेती के मामले में आय का प्रमुख स्रोत सिद्ध होगी।
Dr. Jitendra Singh in his address said that this project shall also become a major source of income for the farmers in cultivation of medicinal plants.
