Hyperplasia, or hypergenesis, is an enlargement of an organ or tissue caused by an increase in the amount of organic tissue that results from cell proliferation. It may lead to the gross enlargement of an organ, and the term is sometimes confused with benign neoplasia or benign tumor.

हाइपरप्लासिया या अतिवर्धन एक सामान्य शब्द है जो किसी अंग या ऊतक के भीतर कोशिकाओं की वृद्धि को संदर्भित करता है जिसके परे इसे सामान्य रूप से देखा जाता है। हाइपरप्लासिया (अतिविकसन) के परिणामस्वरूप किसी अंग की अति वृद्धि हो सकती है एवं इस शब्द को कभी-कभी सुसाध्य नीओप्लासिया/सुसाध्य ट्यूमर (अर्बुद) के साथ मिश्रित किया जाता है।
