Commerce and Industry Minister urged the SME sector manufacturers to produce high quality goods following international standards so that exports from the SME sector may become a part of the global value chain.
वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री ने एसएमई क्षेत्र से अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानकों का पालन करते हुए उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले सामान का उत्पादन करने का आग्रह किया ताकि एसएमई क्षेत्र से निर्यात वैश्विक मूल्य श्रृंखला का हिस्सा बन सके।
He further stated that Government will support industry in every way to establish standards for Indian goods and services to meet international requirements so that brand India is recognized in the world as a provider of quality products and services.
उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए भारतीय वस्तुओं और सेवाओं हेतु मानक सुनिश्चित करने के लिए उद्योग जगत को हरसंभव सहयोग देगी, ताकि ब्रांड इंडिया की विशिष्ट पहचान पूरी दुनिया में गुणवत्ता वाले उत्पादों और सेवाओं के प्रदाता के रूप में हो सके।
The Government is committed to establishing standards of Indian products and services to world class levels which will enable our exports to be accepted globally due to the quality of goods and services, added the Minister.

He stated that Rule 149 of GFR and directives of the Department of Public Enterprises make the procurement of goods and services by Ministries and CPSEs mandatory for goods and services available on GeM and the same should not be violated.
