उन्होंने विशेष जोर देते हुए कहा कि उद्योग जगत को सरकारी सहायता एवं सब्सिडी के नजरिए से स्वयं को अलग कर लेना चाहिए, क्योंकि कई ऐसे बड़े मुद्दे हैं जिन्हें ढांचागत स्तर पर सुलझाने की जरूरत है।
He emphasised that Industry should move away from the mindset of government support and subsidy because there are larger issues which need to be addressed at a structural level .

He urged the industry to focus on the root cause of the problem and increase our competitiveness in terms of quality and efficiency.
उन्होंने उद्योग जगत को आश्वासन दिया कि जहां कहीं भी णों की बढ़ी हुई लागत, तरलता (लिक्विडिटी) की आसान उपलब्धता जैसी वास्तविक कठिनाइयां होंगी, उन्हें तेजी से दूर किया जाएगा।
He assured the industry that wherever there are genuine difficulties like increased cost of credit, easy availability of liquidity etc, will be resolved expeditiously.

Both the Ministers assured the steel industry that Ministries of Commerce Industry and Steel will make all efforts to ensure that engineering goods exports double in the next 5 years and reach USD 200 billion by 2030.
