अन्ततः उन दोनों ने उसमें से खा लिया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप उनकी छिपाने की चीज़े उनके आगे खुल गई और वे दोनों अपने ऊपर जन्नत के पत्ते जोड - जोड़कर रखने लगे। और आदम ने अपने रब की अवज्ञा की, तो वह मार्ग से भटक गया

चुनान्चे दोनों मियाँ बीबी ने उसी में से कुछ खाया तो उनका आगा पीछा उनपर ज़ाहिर हो गया और दोनों बेहिश्त के (दरख्त के) पत्ते अपने आगे पीछे पर चिपकाने लगे और आदम ने अपने परवरदिगार की नाफ़रमानी की

हमने तो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो कुछ इन दोनों के दरमियान है हिकमत ही से एक ख़ास वक्त तक के लिए ही पैदा किया है और कुफ्फ़ार जिन चीज़ों से डराए जाते हैं उन से मुँह फेर लेते हैं

हमने आकाशों और धरती को और जो कुछ उन दोनों के मध्य है उसे केवल हक़ के साथ और एक नियत अवधि तक के लिए पैदा किया है। किन्तु जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया है, वे उस चीज़ को ध्यान में नहीं लाते जिससे उन्हें सावधान किया गया है
Wherefore the end of the twain will be that they will be in the Fire, as abiders there in; that is the meed of the wrong-doers.
फिर उन दोनों का परिणाम यह हुआ कि दोनों आग में गए, जहाँ सदैव रहेंगे। और ज़ालिमों का यही बदला है
