इबराहीम ने कहा मज़ाक नहीं ठीक कहता हूँ कि तुम्हारे माबूद व बुत नहीं बल्कि तुम्हारा परवरदिगार आसमान व ज़मीन का मालिक है जिसने उनको पैदा किया और मैं खुद इस बात का तुम्हारे सामने गवाह हूँ

वे बोले हम चाहते हैं कि उनमें से खाएँ और हमारे हृदय सन्तुष्ट हो और हमें मालूम हो जाए कि तूने हमने सच कहा और हम उसपर गवाह रहें
They said 'We desire that we should eat of it and our hearts be at rest and that we may know that thou hast spoken true to us and that we may be among its witnesses '
वह अर्ज़ करने लगे हम तो फक़त ये चाहते है कि इसमें से बरतकन कुछ खाएँ और हमारे दिल को आपकी रिसालत का पूरा पूरा इत्मेनान हो जाए और यक़ीन कर लें कि आपने हमसे जो कुछ कहा था सच फरमाया था और हम लोग इस पर गवाह रहें

और याद करो जब तुमसे वचन लिया अपने ख़ून न बहाओगे और न अपने लोगों को अपनी बस्तियों से निकालोगे फिर तुमने इक़रार किया और तुम स्वयं इसके गवाह हो
And when We took compact with you 'You shall not shed your own blood neither expel your own from your habitations ' then you confirmed it and yourselves bore witness
उन्होंने कहा तो उसे ले आओ लोगों की आँखों के सामने कि वे भी गवाह रहें
They said Then bring him hither before the people 's eyes that they may testify

लोगों ने कहा तो अच्छा उसको सब लोगों के सामने गिरफ्तार करके ले आओ ताकि वह जो कुछ कहें लोग उसके गवाह रहें

गवाह है हिकमतवाला क़ुरआन
By the Qur 'an full of Wisdom
निश्चय ही हुमने तुम्हारी ओर एक रसूल तुमपर गवाह बनाकर भेजा है जिस प्रकार हमने फ़़िरऔन की ओर एक रसूल भेजा था
Verily We We have sent Unto you an apostle a witness over you even as We sent Unto Fir 'awn an apostle
वे बोले हम चाहते हैं कि उनमें से खाएँ और हमारे हृदय सन्तुष्ट हो और हमें मालूम हो जाए कि तूने हमने सच कहा और हम उसपर गवाह रहें
They said 'We desire to partake of it that our hearts be satisfied and we know that you did speak the truth to us and that we are its witnesses '
