मंगल शब्द का अर्थ है शुभ या हितैषी।
The word Mangal means auspicious or benign.
और हमने उसे इसहाक़ की शुभ सूचना दी, अच्छों में से एक नबी
Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous.
फिर वह अपनी माता को यह शुभ समाचार सुनाने चल दिया।
Then he went home to give his mother the good news.
उस समय हिन्दू शुभ शकुन की प्राप्ति और अनिष्ट के निराकरण के लिए अपने घर के बरतनों को जमीन पर पटक कर तोड़ डालते हैं।
Then the Times of earthquakes Hindus beat with the pots of their households against the earth and break them, in order to get a good omen and to banish the mishap.
फिर जब इबराहीम की घबराहट दूर हो गई और उसे शुभ सूचना भी मिली तो वह लूत की क़ौम के विषय में हम से झगड़ने लगा
Then when the fear had gone away from (the mind of) Ibrahim (Abraham), and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with Us (Our Messengers) for the people of Lout (Lot).

और हमारे भेजे हुए (फ़रिश्ते) इबराहीम के पास शुभ सूचना लेकर पहुँचे। उन्होंने कहा, ' सलाम हो ! ' उसने भी कहा, ' सलाम हो। ' फिर उसने कुछ विलम्भ न किया, एक भुना हुआ बछड़ा ले आया
There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, 'Peace!' He answered, ' Peace! ' and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.
इसलिए प्रश्न यह उठा कि क्या जनता की दृष्टि से यह वांछनीय होगा कि दृष्टिकोण और कार्य-पद्धति के ये भेद ऐसे परिणाम लायें जो शुभ न हो।
Therefore the question arose whether it was desirable from the public point of view for those differences of approach to lead to certain consequences which were not good.
अतः हमने इस वाणी को तुम्हारी भाषा में इसी लिए सहज एवं उपयुक्त बनाया है, ताकि तुम इसके द्वारा डर रखनेवालों को शुभ सूचना दो और उन झगड़ालू लोगों को इसके द्वारा डराओ
Therefore, We have revealed the Qur' an in your tongue and made it easy to understand that you may give glad tidings to the God-fearing and warn a contentious people.
रसूल शुभ समाचार देनेवाले और सचेत करनेवाले बनाकर भेजे गए है, ताकि रसूलों के पश्चात लोगों के पास अल्लाह के मुक़ाबले में (अपने निर्दोष होने का) कोई तर्क न रहे। अल्लाह अत्यन्त प्रभुत्वशाली, तत्वदर्शी है
These Messengers were sent as bearers of glad tidings and as warners so that after sending the Messengers people may have no plea against Allah. Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
वे शुभ समाचार सुन चुके थे।
They had heard the great news.
