जब उसे हमारी आयतें सुनाई जाती हैं तो वह स्वयं को बड़ा समझता हुआ पीठ फेरकर चल देता है, मानो उसने उन्हें सुना ही नहीं, मानो उसके काम बहरे है। अच्छा तो उसे एक दुखद यातना की शुभ सूचना दे दो
And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement.
जब उसे हमारी आयतें सुनाई जाती हैं तो वह स्वयं को बड़ा समझता हुआ पीठ फेरकर चल देता है, मानो उसने उन्हें सुना ही नहीं, मानो उसके काम बहरे है। अच्छा तो उसे एक दुखद यातना की शुभ सूचना दे दो
And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment.
और जब उनमें से किसी को बेटी की शुभ सूचना मिलती है तो उसके चहरे पर कलौंस छा जाती है और वह घुटा-घुटा रहता है
And when one among of them receives the glad tidings of a daughter, his face turns black for the day, and he remains seething.
फिर जब इबराहीम की घबराहट दूर हो गई और उसे शुभ सूचना भी मिली तो वह लूत की क़ौम के विषय में हम से झगड़ने लगा
And when the awe departed from Abraham, and the glad news reached him, he pleaded with Us on behalf of the folk of Lot.
फिर जब इबराहीम की घबराहट दूर हो गई और उसे शुभ सूचना भी मिली तो वह लूत की क़ौम के विषय में हम से झगड़ने लगा
And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him, he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot.

सत्य के साथ हमने उसे अवतरित किया और सत्य के साथ वह अवतरित भी हुआ। और तुम्हें तो हमने केवल शुभ सूचना देनेवाला और सावधान करनेवाला बनाकर भेजा है
And with truth We have sent it down and with truth it hath come down; and We have not sent thee but as a bringer of glad tidings and a warner.
सत्य के साथ हमने उसे अवतरित किया और सत्य के साथ वह अवतरित भी हुआ। और तुम्हें तो हमने केवल शुभ सूचना देनेवाला और सावधान करनेवाला बनाकर भेजा है
And with truth have We revealed it, and with truth did it come; and We have not sent you but as the giver of good news and as a warner.
सभी शुभ साहसों की तरह उसके पीछे भी तप की शक्ति होना जरूरी है।
As in all great and good enterprises, sacrifice and dedication are required to make this successful.
ये दोनों दिन शुभ माने जाते हैं।
Both these days are considered auspicious.
लेकिन यह भी तो वह निश्चय जानता है कि इस शुभ कर्म में मैं किसी तरह उसका परित्याग नहीं कर सकूँगी।
But he must also know that I cannot on any account desert him on such an auspicious occasion.
