हालाकि इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि हमने तुम्हारे बाप आदम को पैदा किया फिर तुम्हारी सूरते बनायीं फिर हमनें फ़रिश्तों से कहा कि तुम सब के सब आदम को सजदा करो तो सब के सब झुक पड़े मगर शैतान कि वह सजदा करने वालों में शामिल न हुआ
Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge Verily the ear the eye the heart each will be questioned
और जिस चीज़ का तुम्हें ज्ञान न हो उसके पीछे न लगो निस्संदेह कान और आँख और दिल इनमें से प्रत्येक के विषय में पूछा जाएगा
And say Truth has come and falsehood nullified Verily falsehood is perishable
और ऐ रसूल कह दो कि दीन हक़ आ गया और बातिल नेस्तनाबूद हुआ इसमें शक ़ नहीं कि बातिल मिटने वाला ही था
Verily the Hour of the great change is about to come I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour
क्योंकि क़यामत ज़रूर आने वाली है और मैं उसे लामहौला छिपाए रखूँगा ताकि हर शख्स उसके ख़ौफ से नेकी करे और वैसी कोशिश की है उसका उसे बदला दिया जाए

निश्चय ही वह क़ियामत की घड़ी आनेवाली है शीघ्र ही उसे लाऊँगा उसे छिपाए रखता हूँ ताकि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जो प्रयास वह करता है उसका बदला पाए
Did they not learn from the many generations that We destroyed before them whose habitations they now frequent Verily there are signs in this for men of understanding
तो क्या उन अहले मक्का को उस खुदा ने ये नहीं बता दिया था कि हमने उनके पहले कितने लोगों को हलाक कर डाला जिनके घरों में ये लोग चलते फिरते हैं इसमें शक नहीं कि उसमें अक्लमंदों के लिए कुदरते खुदा की यक़ीनी बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं

फिर क्या उनको इससे भी मार्ग न मिला कि हम उनसे पहले कितनी ही नस्लों को विनष्ट कर चुके है जिनकी बस्तियों में वे चलते फिरते है निस्संदेह बुद्धिमानों के लिए इसमें बहुत सी निशानियाँ है
So these their habitations lie deserted now because of their iniquities Verily there is a sign in this for those who understand
अब ये उनके घर उनके ज़ुल्म के कारण उजडें पड़े हुए है निश्चय ही इसमें एक बड़ी निशानी है उन लोगों के लिए जो जानना चाहें
Verily Lot was one of the apostles
और निश्चय ही लूत भी रसूलों में से था
