موسٰی علیہ السلام نے کہا تم ہی پہلے ڈال دو پھر جب انہوں نے اپنی رسیوں اور لاٹھیوں کو زمین پر ڈالا تو انہوں نے لوگوں کی آنکھوں پرجادو کردیا اور انہیں ڈرا دیا اور وہ زبردست جادو سامنے لے آئے،
Said Moses Throw ye first So when they threw they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them for they showed a great feat of magic
فرعون نے کہا تم اس پر میری اجازت سے پہلے ہی ایمان لے آئے یہ تو مکر ہے جو تم سب نے اس شہر میں بنایا ہے تاکہ اس شہر کے رہنے والوں کو نکال دو سو اب تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا
Said Pharaoh Believe ye in Him before I give you permission Surely this is a trick which ye have planned in the city to drive out its people but soon shall ye know the consequences

جب ان کو ہماری آیات سنائی جاتی تھیں تو کہتے تھے کہ ہاں سُن لیا ہم نے، ہم چاہیں تو ایسی ہی باتیں ہم بھی بنا سکتے ہیں، یہ تو وہی پُرانی کہانیاں ہیں جو پہلے سے لوگ کہتے چلے آ رہے ہیں
When Our Signs are rehearsed to them they say We have heard this before if we wished we could say words like these these are nothing but tales of the ancients
بلکہ انہوں نے اس چیز کو جھٹلایا جسے وہ سمجھ نہ سکے اوربھی اس کی حقیقت ان پر کھلی نہیں اسی طرح جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے انہوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھا سو دیکھ لو کہ ظالموں کاانجام کیسا ہوا
Nay they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them thus did those before them make charges of falsehood but see what was the end of those who did wrong
اب یہ کہتا ہے اورتو اس سے پہلے نافرمانی کرتا رہا اور مفسدوں میں داخل رہا
It was said to him Ah now But a little while before wast thou in rebellion and thou didst mischief and violence
پھر کیا وہ انہیں لوگوں کے دنوں کا سا انتظار کرتے ہیں جو ان سے پہلے گزرے ہیں کہہ دو اچھا انتظار کرو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار کرتا ہوں
Do they then expect any thing but what happened in the days of the men who passed away before them Say Wait ye then for I too will wait with you
یہ غیب کی خبریں ہیں جنہیں ہم آپ کی طرف وحی کر رہے ہیں اس سے پہلے نہ تو آپ ہی جانتے تھے اور نہ آپ کی قوم جانتی تھی پس صبر کر کیوں کہ بہتر انجام پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ہے
Such are some of the stories of the unseen which We have revealed unto thee before this neither thou nor thy people knew them So persevere patiently for the End is for those who are righteous
