और जब हमने जिनों में से कई शख़्शों को तुम्हारी तरफ मुतावज्जे किया कि वह दिल लगाकर क़ुरान सुनें तो जब उनके पास हाज़िर हुए तो एक दुसरे से कहने लगे ख़ामोश बैठे सुनते रहो फिर जब पढ़ना तमाम हुआ तो अपनी क़ौम की तरफ़ वापस गए
And when We inclined toward thee Muhammad certain of the jinn who wished to hear the Qur 'an and when they were in its presence said Give ear and when it was finished turned back to their people warning
अतएव जादूगर फ़िरऔन के पास आ गए कहने लगे यदि हम विजयी हुए तो अवश्य ही हमें बड़ा बदला मिलेगा

ग़रज़ जादूगर सब फिरऔन के पास हाज़िर होकर कहने लगे कि अगर हम मूसा से जीत जाएं तो हमको बड़ा भारी इनाम ज़रुर मिलना चाहिए
The sorcerers came to Pharaoh They said 'Shall we be rewarded if we are the winners '
तो उसने अपने लशकर के बिरते पर मुँह मोड़ लिया और कहने लगा ये तो अच्छा ख़ासा जादूगर या सौदाई है
But Fir 'aun Pharaoh turned away from Belief in might along with his hosts and said A sorcerer or a madman
कहने लगे ऐ मेरे बाप हम परस्पर दौड़ में मुक़ाबला करते हुए दूर चले गए और यूसफ़ को हमने अपने सामान के साथ छोड़ दिया था कि इतने में भेड़िया उसे खा गया आप तो हमपर विश्वास करेंगे नहीं यद्यपि हम सच्चे है
They said 'We went racing and left Joseph with our things The wolf devoured him but you will not believe us though we speak the truth '

और कहने लगे ऐ अब्बा हम लोग तो जाकर दौड़ने लगे और यूसुफ को अपने असबाब के पास छोड़ दिया इतने में भेड़िया आकर उसे खा गया हम लोग अगर सच्चे भी हो मगर आपको तो हमारी बात का यक़ीन आने का नहीं

कहने लगे हमारे लिए अपने रब से निवेदन करो कि वह हमें बता दे कि उसका रंग कैसा है कहा वह कहता है कि वह गाय सुनहरी है गहरे चटकीले रंग की कि देखनेवालों को प्रसन्न कर देती है
'Call on your Lord ' they said 'to make known to us what her color shall be Your Lord says The cow is yellow a rich yellow pleasing to the onlookers '
वह लोग कहने लगे ऐ शुएब क्या तुम्हारी नमाज़ जिसे तुम पढ़ा करते हो तुम्हें ये सिखाती है कि जिन बुतों की परसतिश हमारे बाप दादा करते आए उन्हें हम छोड़ बैठें या हम अपने मालों में जो कुछ चाहे कर बैठें तुम ही तो बस एक बुर्दबार और समझदार रह गए हो
They said O Shu 'ayb does your prayer command you that we should leave what our fathers worship or not do with our wealth what we please Indeed you are the forbearing the discerning
वह लोग कहने लगे कि ऐ मूसा क्यों तुम हमारे पास उस वास्ते आए हो कि जिस दीन पर हमने अपने बाप दादाओं को पाया उससे तुम हमे बहका दो और सारी ज़मीन में ही दोनों की बढ़ाई हो और ये लोग तुम दोनों पर ईमान लाने वाले नहीं
They replied 'Have you come to turn us away from the way of our forefathers that the two of you might become supreme in the land We shall never accept what the two of you say '
और फिरऔन के लोग मूसा से एक मरतबा कहने लगे कि तुम हम पर जादू करने के लिए चाहे जितनी निशानियाँ लाओ मगर हम तुम पर किसी तरह ईमान नहीं लाएँगें
They said 'Whatever sign you bring to us to cast a spell upon us we will not believe in you '
