Ask the Children of Israel how many a manifest sign We had given them. Whoever changes Allah 's blessing after it has come to him, indeed Allah is severe in retribution.
इसराईल की सन्तान से पूछो, हमने उन्हें कितनी खुली-खुली निशानियाँ प्रदान की। और जो अल्लाह की नेमत को इसके बाद कि वह उसे पहुँच चुकी हो बदल डाले, तो निस्संदेह अल्लाह भी कठोर दंड देनेवाला है
Ask the Children of Israel how many clear (Signs) We have sent them. But if any one, after Allah 's favour has come to him, substitutes (something else), Allah is strict in punishment.
(ऐ रसूल) बनी इसराइल से पूछो कि हम ने उन को कैसी कैसी रौशन निशानियाँ दी और जब किसी शख्स के पास ख़ुदा की नेअमत (किताब) आ चुकी उस के बाद भी उस को बदल डाले तो बेशक़ ख़ुदा सख्त अज़ाब वाला है

इसराईल की सन्तान से पूछो, हमने उन्हें कितनी खुली-खुली निशानियाँ प्रदान की। और जो अल्लाह की नेमत को इसके बाद कि वह उसे पहुँच चुकी हो बदल डाले, तो निस्संदेह अल्लाह भी कठोर दंड देनेवाला है
Assuredly Allah hath succoured you on many fields and on the day of Hunain, When your number elated you; then it availed you naught, and the earth, wide as it is, straitened unto you; then ye turned away in retreat.
(मुसलमानों) ख़ुदा ने तुम्हारी बहुतेरे मक़ामात पर (ग़ैबी) इमदाद की और (ख़ासकर) जंग हुनैन के दिन जब तुम्हें अपनी क़सरत (तादाद) ने मग़रूर कर दिया था फिर वह क़सरत तुम्हें कुछ भी काम न आयी और (तुम ऐसे घबराए कि) ज़मीन बावजूद उस वसअत (फैलाव) के तुम पर तंग हो गई तुम पीठ कर भाग निकले

अल्लाह बहुत-से अवसरों पर तुम्हारी सहायता कर चुका है और हुनैन (की लड़ाई) के दिन भी, जब तुम अपनी अधिकता पर फूल गए, तो वह तुम्हारे कुछ काम न आई और धरती अपनी विशालता के बावजूद तुम पर तंग हो गई। फिर तुम पीठ फेरकर भाग खड़े हुए

Assuredly Allah knoweth that which they keep hidden and that which they proclaim. Lo! He loveth not the proud.
ये लोग जो कुछ छिपा कर करते हैं और जो कुछ ज़ाहिर बज़ाहिर करते हैं (ग़रज़ सब कुछ) ख़ुदा ज़रुर जानता है वह हरगिज़ तकब्बुर करने वालों को पसन्द नहीं करता

निश्चय ही अल्लाह भली-भाँति जानता है, जो कुछ वे छिपाते है और जो कुछ प्रकट करते है। उसे ऐसे लोग प्रिय नहीं, जो अपने आपको बड़ा समझते हो
Assuredly He will cause them to enter by an entry that they will love. Lo! Allah verily is Knower, Indulgent.
वह उन्हें ऐसी जगह प्रवेश कराएगा जिससे वे प्रसन्न हो जाएँगे। और निश्चय ही अल्लाह सर्वज्ञ, अत्यन्त सहनशील है
Assuredly they besought sedition afore and turned the affairs upside down for thee until the truth arrived and the decree of Allah prevailed, averse though they were.
(ए रसूल) इसमें तो शक़ नहीं कि उन लोगों ने पहले ही फ़साद डालना चाहा था और तुम्हारी बहुत सी बातें उलट पुलट के यहॉ तक कि हक़ आ पहुंचा और ख़ुदा ही का हुक्म ग़ालिब रहा और उनको नागवार ही रहा

उन्होंने तो इससे पहले भी उपद्रव मचाना चाहा था और वे तुम्हारे विरुद्ध घटनाओं और मामलों के उलटने-पलटने में लगे रहे, यहाँ तक कि हक़ आ गया और अल्लाह को आदेश प्रकट होकर रहा, यद्यपि उन्हें अप्रिय ही लगता रहा
