He calls besides Allah upon that which does not harm him and that which does not profit him, that is the great straying.
वह अल्लाह को छोड़कर उसे पुकारता है, जो न उसे हानि पहुँचा सके और न उसे लाभ पहुँचा सके। यही हैं परले दर्जे की गुमराही
He enjoineth upon you only the evil and the foul, and that ye should tell concerning Allah that which ye know not.
वह तो तुम्हें बुराई और बदकारी ही का हुक्म करेगा और ये चाहेगा कि तुम बे जाने बूझे ख़ुदा पर बोहतान बाँधों
He from whom it is averted on that day, Allah indeed has shown mercy to him; and this is a manifest achievement.
उस दिन वह जिसपर से टल गई, उसपर अल्लाह ने दया की, और यही स्पष्ट सफलता है

उस दिन जिस (के सर) से अज़ाब टल गया तो (समझो कि) ख़ुदा ने उस पर (बड़ा) रहम किया और यही तो सरीही कामयाबी है
He from whom it is averted that Day - [ Allah ] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment.
उस दिन वह जिसपर से टल गई, उसपर अल्लाह ने दया की, और यही स्पष्ट सफलता है

He has forged a lie against Allah or there is madness in him. Nay! those who do not believe in the hereafter are in torment and in great error.
क्या उसने अल्लाह पर झूठ घड़कर थोपा है, या उसे कुछ उन्माद है? नहीं, बल्कि जो लोग आख़िरत पर ईमान नहीं रखते वे यातना और परले दरजे की गुमराही में हैं
He has power only over those who take him as their patron and who, under his influence, associate others with Allah in His Divinity.
उसका क़ाबू चलता है तो बस उन्हीं लोगों पर जो उसको दोस्त बनाते हैं और जो लोग उसको ख़ुदा का शरीक बनाते हैं
He hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. Give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment.
कि ख़ुदा की आयतें उसके सामने पढ़ी जाती हैं और वह सुनता भी है फिर ग़ुरूर से (कुफ़्र पर) अड़ा रहता है गोया उसने उन आयतों को सुना ही नहीं तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम उसे दर्दनाक अज़ाब की ख़ुशख़बरी दे दो

जो अल्लाह की उन आयतों को सुनता है जो उसे पढ़कर सुनाई जाती है। फिर घमंड के साथ अपनी (इनकार की) नीति पर अड़ा रहता है मानो उसने उनको सुना ही नहीं। अतः उसको दुखद यातना की शुभ सूचना दे दो
He invokes besides Allah that which can bring him neither benefit nor harm. That is extreme error.
