Had We willed, We could have shown them to you, and you should have known them by their marks, but surely, you will know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all your deeds.
यदि हम चाहें तो उन्हें तुम्हें दिखा दें, फिर तुम उन्हें उनके लक्षणों से पहचान लो; किन्तु तुम उन्हें उनकी बातचीत के ढब से अवश्य पहचान लोगे। अल्लाह तो तुम्हारे कर्मों को जानता ही है
Had it not been for an ordinance of Allah which had gone before, an awful doom had come upon you on account of what ye took.
और अगर ख़ुदा की तरफ से पहले ही (उसकी) माफी का हुक्म आ चुका होता तो तुमने जो (बदर के क़ैदियों के छोड़ देने के बदले) फिदिया लिया था
Had it not been for an ordinance of Allah which had gone before, an awful doom had come upon you on account of what ye took.
यदि अल्लाह का लिखा पहले से मौजूद न होता, तो जो कुछ नीति तुमने अपनाई है उसपर तुम्हें कोई बड़ी यातना आ लेती
Had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy unto you in this world and in the Hereafter, a great torment would have touched you for that whereof you had spoken.
और अगर तुम लोगों पर दुनिया और आख़िरत में ख़ुदा का फज़ल (व करम) और उसकी रहमत न होती तो जिस बात का तुम लोगों ने चर्चा किया था उस की वजह से तुम पर कोई बड़ा (सख्त) अज़ाब आ पहुँचता
Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you in the world and the Hereafter an awful doom had overtaken you for that whereof ye murmured.
और अगर तुम लोगों पर दुनिया और आख़िरत में ख़ुदा का फज़ल (व करम) और उसकी रहमत न होती तो जिस बात का तुम लोगों ने चर्चा किया था उस की वजह से तुम पर कोई बड़ा (सख्त) अज़ाब आ पहुँचता

Had they been patient until you came out for them, it would have been better for them, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
और अगर ये लोग इतना ताम्मुल करते कि तुम ख़ुद निकल कर उनके पास आ जाते (तब बात करते) तो ये उनके लिए बेहतर था और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है

यदि वे धैर्य से काम लेते यहाँ तक कि तुम स्वयं निकलकर उनके पास आ जाते तो यह उनके लिए अच्छा होता। किन्तु अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है
Had they gone forth among you, they would only have increased your burden, and run to and fro in your midst, seeking to stir up sedition between you; and some of you would listen to them; and Allah knows the harmdoers.
अगर ये लोग तुममें (मिलकर) निकलते भी तो बस तुममे फ़साद ही बरपा कर देते और तुम्हारे हक़ में फ़ितना कराने की ग़रज़ से तुम्हारे दरमियान (इधर उधर) घोड़े दौड़ाते फिरते और तुममें से उनके जासूस भी हैं (जो तुम्हारी उनसे बातें बयान करते हैं) और ख़ुदा शरीरों से ख़ूब वाक़िफ़ है

यदि वे तुम्हारे साथ निकलते भी तो तुम्हारे अन्दर ख़राबी के सिवा किसी और चीज़ की अभिवृद्धि नहीं करते। और वे तुम्हारे बीच उपद्रव मचाने के लिए दौड़-धूप करते और तुममें उनकी सुननेवाले है। और अल्लाह अत्याचारियों को भली-भाँति जानता है
Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him.
महान और उच्च है अल्लाह उससे, जो वे बयान करते है। -
