Or who is such that will give you sustenance if Allah stops His sustenance? In fact they persist in rebellion and hatred.
या वह कौन है जो तुम्हें रोज़ी दे, यदि वह अपनी रोज़ी रोक ले? नहीं, बल्कि वे तो सरकशी और नफ़रत ही पर अड़े हुए है
Or who is such that will give you sustenance if Allah stops His sustenance? In fact they persist in rebellion and hatred.
मगर ये कुफ्फ़ार तो सरकशी और नफ़रत (के भँवर) में फँसे हुए हैं भला जो शख़्श औंधे मुँह के बाल चले वह ज्यादा हिदायत याफ्ता होगा
Or you should cause the heaven to come down upon us in pieces as you think, or bring Allah and the angels face to face (with us).
या आकाश को टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके हम पर गिरा दो जैसा कि तुम्हारा दावा है, या अल्लाह और फ़रिश्तों ही को हमारे समझ ले आओ,
Or you should cause the heaven to come down upon us in pieces as you think, or bring Allah and the angels face to face (with us).
या जैसा तुम गुमान रखते थे हम पर आसमान ही को टुकड़े (टुकड़े) करके गिराओ या ख़ुदा और फरिश्तों को (अपने क़ौल की तस्दीक़) में हमारे सामने (गवाही में ला खड़ा कर दिया
Or, like (those who, under) a cloudburst from the sky with darkness, thunder and lightning, they thrust their fingers in their ears at the sound of every thunderclap for fear of death, and Allah encompasses the unbelievers.
या (उनकी मिसाल ऐसी है) जैसे आकाश से वर्षा हो रही हो जिसके साथ अँधेरे हों और गरज और चमक भी हो, वे बिजली की कड़क के कारण मृत्यु के भय से अपने कानों में उँगलियाँ दे ले रहे हों-और अल्लाह ने तो इनकार करनेवालों को घेर रखा हैं

(इस वक्त) क़हाँ हैं वह कहेंगे अब तो वह हमसे जाते रहे बल्कि (सच यूँ है कि) हम तो पहले ही से (ख़ुदा के सिवा) किसी चीज़ की परसतिश न करते थे यूँ ख़ुदा काफिरों को बौखला देगा

वे कहेंगे, ' वे हमसे गुम होकर रह गए, बल्कि हम इससे पहले किसी चीज़ को नहीं पुकारते थे। ' इसी प्रकार अल्लाह इनकार करनेवालों को भटकता छोड़ देता है
Other than those polytheists with whom you had a treaty, and they have not diminished anything from your treaty nor supported anyone against you – therefore fulfil their treaty up to the appointed term; indeed Allah befriends the pious.
मगर (हाँ) जिन मुशरिकों से तुमने एहदो पैमान किया था फिर उन लोगों ने भी कभी कुछ तुमसे (वफ़ा एहद में) कमी नहीं की और न तुम्हारे मुक़ाबले में किसी की मदद की हो तो उनके एहद व पैमान को जितनी मुद्द्त के वास्ते मुक़र्रर किया है पूरा कर दो ख़ुदा परहेज़गारों को यक़ीनन दोस्त रखता है

सिवाय उन मुशरिकों के जिनसे तुमने संधि - समझौते किए, फिर उन्होंने तुम्हारे साथ अपने वचन को पूर्ण करने में कोई कमी नही की और न तुम्हारे विरुद्ध किसी की सहायता ही की, तो उनके साथ उनकी संधि को उन लोगों के निर्धारित समय तक पूरा करो। निश्चय ही अल्लाह को डर रखनेवाले प्रिय है
Our Lord! Indeed You know whatever we hide and whatever we disclose, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the sky.
ऐ हमारे पालने वाले जो कुछ हम छिपाते हैं और जो कुछ ज़ाहिर करते हैं तू (सबसे) खूब वाक़िफ है और ख़ुदा से तो कोई चीज़ छिपी नहीं (न) ज़मीन में और न आसमान में उस ख़ुदा का (लाख लाख) शुक्र है
